Overview

Archer Western a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking a Recruiting Trades Coordinator for our SCDOT I-26 project in Columbia, SC.

The Recruiting Trades Coordinator will be responsible for organizing, managing, maintaining and promoting the craft training program for the Columbia, SC project.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, manage, maintain, and promote the craft training program.

  • Enlist the help of operations personnel to attend trades functions. Direct and manage the branding at events and deliver relevant training to operations/recruitment teams.

  • Work with Project Management to develop hiring goals; Explore the best sourcing options to help the project meet hiring needs

  • Aid in creating diversity trade recruiting goals. Suggest new strategies for Archer Western/Walsh to recruit and retain diverse trades talent.

  • Help manage applicants in our ATS including applicant sources and applicant data and selection status. Follow up with hiring managers as necessary.

  • Manage trade school recruitment

  • Setup recruiting information session/outreach events as necessary

  • Assist with onboarding efforts within ATS to ensure processes are being followed in the time and manner expected. Address deficiencies/issues as needed

  • As necessary, develop communication material in a variety of formats to meet trades recruiting needs

  • Maintain current knowledge in the field of Human Resources, Compliance, Recruiting, Selection and Retention through education, training, networking, professional organizations, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in an office setting

  • Interest in field of Human Resources is required

  • Strong computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.

  • Working experience with Applicant Tracking systems is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong follow up skills with solid time management skills; work well with time constraints, multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Able to work in an office environment
