The Walsh Group Workers Compensation Claims Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois
OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Coordinator in Chicago, IL. The Workers Comp Claims Coordinator is responsible for Workers’ Compensation Claims and must have a general understanding of workers’ compensation coverage. This position requires confidential handling of our employees’ workers’ compensation claims and files from date of reporting through the resolution of the claim.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for submission of claims to Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administrator (TPA), and work in partnership with the TPA, nurses, other vendors, and/or attorneys to deliver solutions and enhance the claims management process.
Interact extensively with various parties involved in the claims process to ensure effective communication with documents and claims activity timely and efficiently.
Facilitate communications between claims adjustors and injured workers throughout the duration of the claim. Provide exceptional customer service to our claimants, exhibiting empathy through each step of the claims’ process.
Maintain company reporting requirements and related paperwork related to the workers’ compensation claims.
Complete state reporting requirements and provide documentation as necessary.
Attend quarterly claim reviews on all claims and make notes on claims and schedule follow-ups as necessary.
Maintain communications with project and safety management regarding all injuries.
Analyze and process invoicing.
Special assignments as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience with workers’ compensation claims preferred but not required.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
This is an onsite position in our Chicago, IL office
Salary Range: $27.24/hr - $40.85/hr
