Overview
The Walsh Group is currently seeking an On-Site Occupational Registered Nurseto support our Healthcare Building Division on a healthcare project located in Lexington, KY.

As the Project Site Nurse, your primary responsibility will be providing comprehensive health and wellness services to the employees of the project in alignment with established company policies, site-specific objectives, goals, strategies, and measures.
You will play a key role in collaborating with other team members to provide site health and safety needs for the project. You will support site assessment audits, site risk analysis, and occupational health management plan to support the safety team. In addition, you will own delivering comprehensive nursing care including prompt medical emergency response, prevention, treatment and follow-up for occupational injuries/illnesses, referrals, and medications.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate the care of ill and injured workers, including return to work assessments/evaluations while collaborating with the safety/healthcare team
Engage with site and regional medical resources to support clinical activities which includes following medical triage protocols, conduct virtual screenings, follow confinement guidelines, and plan appropriate RTW per standard operating procedures.
Conduct injury/illness assessments.
Administer medical screening such as BP’s, vision tests, BAC breathalyzer and urine drug screening for new hire employees and randoms.
Ensure compliance with health aspects and medical testing requirements of OSHA 1904 and company health & safety standards.
Attain/maintain current knowledge of the site risks/hazards including chemical, biological, and physical and participate in reviews and overall risk assessments.
Provide Health Coaching that optimizes the employee's health and well-being by conducting screening tests, and follow-up, including appropriate referrals.
Proactively work on a vibrant living culture to improve the health and wellbeing of employees, through championing wellness programs recommended by the project site.
Essential Functions:
Administers the procedures of the occupational and environmental health and safety program consistent with the company's general policies concerning health services.
Functions as a subject matter expert on case management performed including Worker’s Compensation without lost time, work related and personal restrictions, and appropriate referrals
Assesses the healthcare needs of employees and employee populations
Assist with the accident investigation process with the safety team to identify root cause analysis of all incidents and near misses.
Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines.
Collaborate with Medical Director to arrange for further medical treatment, as needed.
Assess healthcare needs, then implement and manage healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate employees return to work.
Identify prevention and health promotion strategies to optimize health of the population.
Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice
Administers medications and medical treatments competently as directed by Medical Director.
Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions, and follow up care.
Maintains a clean and safe environment. Follows infection control procedures.
Maintains patient privacy and confidential patient information and medical records.
Participates in follow up phone calls and follow up patient visits.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate Degree of Nursing ADN, Bachelors (BSN) preferred
Active, non-restricted- state of Kentucky RN license
Adult CPR/FA/AED/BBP Certification and Instructor
Detailed knowledge of OSHA, BWC and other federal regulations that govern theworkplace
Must be flexible to meet the needs of the site project with occasional work such as takingcall off normal shift hours/weekends.
